Shoppers ask AI what to buy and it names a few brands. SearchFIT shows when yours is one of them, then writes and publishes the pages that help it stay there.

The story

A restock day in Los Angeles

A direct to consumer brand shipping from a studio in the LA Arts District. An illustrative scenario.

A founder’s table in an LA studio with a laptop, fabric swatches and ceramics
  1. 8:30 am

    A shopper’s question goes unanswered

Someone asks Perplexity for the best option under a price. Two rival brands are named. This one is not.

  2. 10:00 am

    The founder checks shopping prompts

AI Tracking shows which product questions name the brand, which name competitors, and on which engines.

  3. 12:30 pm

    Buying guides get written

SearchFIT drafts product listicles and guides from the gaps. The team edits them and publishes to the Shopify blog.

  4. 6:00 pm

The audit catches what blocks crawlers

A scheduled crawl flags product pages missing structured data and images without alt text, ranked by severity.

The maths

What missing from AI answers costs an online store.

A typical small US ecommerce brand, worked out in the open. Cited figures link to their source, and every assumption says so.

50,000Shoppers researching your category a year(assumption)
39%US consumers who have used generative AI to shop online1
50%Answers that name a competitor, not you(assumption)
2.5%Of those, who would have bought(assumption)
$120Average order value(assumption)
Lost every year$29,200
Won back when SearchFIT gets you named$8,700Assumes 3 in 10 of those shoppers choose you once you are named (assumption)

An estimate, not a promise. The 39% is the share of more than 5,000 US consumers who told Adobe in early 2025 that they had used generative AI for online shopping at least once, so regular use is lower. Adobe also found AI referred visitors were 9% less likely to convert than other traffic, so a lower conversion rate may fit. Shopper volume, the share of answers naming a competitor, conversion, order value and the 3 in 10 are assumptions.

What are the best platforms to launch an online store on?

For most new stores, Shopify is the most recommended option thanks to its ease of setup and app ecosystem. BigCommerce comes up often for merchants who want more built-in features and headless flexibility without extra apps.
